This Genesis Shaftway lift is located in a church and travels between the chapel and the basement. The lift features a fire door, push button controls and courtesy lights.

This is a custom designed Genesis Shaftway model. The lift has been painted with a custom a custom color, and features push button platform controls with courtesy lights. The door was custom designed to blend with the surrounding wall panelling.

This Genesis Shaftway was installed with a fire door at the upper landing. The door was custom painted to match the décor of the building.

Garaventa Genesis Shaftway

The Genesis Shaftway Model fits inside a vertical runway that is built by others, in accordance to Garaventa Lift specifications. This model provides access up to 12 feet in Florida. A variance may be required if the wheelchair lift is required to travel over 12 feet (up to a maximum of 14 feet). This model can make up to three stops and is available in a variety of finishes and configurations. The Genesis Shaftway can be supplied with Garaventa style doors, or fire rated doors as another option.

Drive Systems - The Genesis Shaftway Model has a choice of two standard drive systems.

Leadscrew Drive - The economical Leadscrew Drive System (2 HP motor) travels at 10 feet per minute and requires 120 VAC single phase on a dedicated 20 amp circuit. The Leadscrew Drive System can be ordered in six different lifting heights, up to a maximum of 147".

Hydraulic Drive - The Hydraulic Drive (3 HP motor) is powered by continuous mains power with an auxiliary power system. It is a quieter drive system and travels at 17 feet per minute. This system requires 120 VAC single phase on a dedicated 15 amp circuit. The Hydraulic Drive System can be ordered in seven different lifting heights, up to a maximum of 171".

Platform Features

Platform Controls - rocker style directional switches with an emergency stop button.
Grab Rail - used by the passenger when entering or exiting the lift
Standard Platform Size - 38" x 54"
Manual Lowering -
- Leadscrew - a handwheel is used to lower the lift
- Hydraulic model - to lower the lift a knob on the side of the mast can be pulled to open the valve and lower the platform
Entry/Exit Configuration - straight through entry/exit configuration

Call Stations - Standard call stations for the Shaftway model are rocker style switches mounted in the frame of door or gate.

Doors and Gates - This model requires a door at the lower landing and allows for a choice of a door or gate at the upper landing. The doors are made of anodized aluminum extrusions with Satin Grey steel panels. The doors and gates use powered interlocks at each landing.

Standard Finish - The standard finish for the Genesis Shaftway model is anodized aluminum extrusion with Satin Grey steel panels
